The Enrique S. Camarena Foundation
The Enrique S. Camarena Foundation is an all volunteer nonprofit foundation. Mika Camarena, the widow of DEA Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, and their son Enrique Camarena Jr. serve on the Board of Directors together with former DEA Agents, law enforcement personnel, family and friends of Agent Camarena, and others who share their commitment to alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention.

The foundation is a collaborative effort supported by retired agents, members of the Fraternal Order of Border Agents, corporate sponsors, friends, and private citizens. The foundation supports:

  • Scholarships for deserving high school seniors

  • Participation in the Red Ribbon Week Campaign

  • Placement of memorial bronze Camarena busts

The foundation offers ribbons and wristbands that honor the memory of Agent Camarena. They also sell a photo of the Empire State Building lit in red in celebration of Red Ribbon Week with Kiki's image and badge superimposed in the top right corner (beautiful!)

If you plan to purchase red ribbons or wristbands, we encourage you to buy them from the Camarena Foundation. Since the foundation is an all volunteer organization, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these materials support the foundation’s programs.

Your school or community group may want to consider hosting a fundraiser in honor of Agent Camarena. Then, donate the proceeds to the foundation to support the scholarship fund or the placement of the bronze Camarena busts. Please contact the foundation directly:
